Community Support Training Ltd is proud to share an inspiring success story that recently took place at HMP Highdown. One of our learners, Kevin, has accomplished something truly remarkable and we are thrilled to share his journey with you.
A year ago, Kevin took several courses with Elite Project Services, including Railtrack, first aid, manual handling, and fire safety. During his conversation with us, he shared his dream of starting his own training company. However, he needed to achieve the Award in Education and Training Level 3 qualification, which was not offered at HMP Highdown at the time.
With Kevin's determination and commitment, the Novus education manager made some enquiries and subsequently, the prison agreed that the Novus education department could deliver the course. Community Support Training has been given a contract by Novus education to deliver the Award in Education and Training Level 3 at HMP Highdown.
Kevin completed this qualification last week, making him the first prisoner at HMP Highdown to do so. He has paved the way for others to follow in his footsteps, and we are incredibly proud of him. With the support of a team of dedicated professionals, including Novus education department, Community Support Training Ltd, and Elite project services, Kevin has achieved an outstanding feat that has changed his life forever.
Moving forward, Kevin intends to continue working with Community Support Training Ltd, who have agreed to put him through his assessor’s qualification and offer continued mentorship to help him set up his own training centre. This is a testament to his unwavering commitment and dedication to his vision, and we are confident that he will go on to achieve great things.
